Job summary

Ph PharmaChoice Canada is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join our locally owned pharmacy in rural Newfoundland. You will provide patient-centered care, conduct clinical assessments, manage therapy, and ensure safe dispensing practices within a collaborative team.

You will work with physicians and clinics to coordinate transitions of care and act as a trusted drug information resource for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist with provincial license.
• Experience in clinical patient care and counseling preferred.
• Familiarity with dispensing, labeling, and drug safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments and manage chronic and acute medication therapy.
• Administer injections and vaccines, renew prescriptions, optimize therapies.
• Oversee dispensing processes with strict adherence to safety standards.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Patient Care & Clinical Services: Conduct clinical assessments, manage chronic and acute medication therapy, and provide comprehensive patient counseling
• Clinical Interventions: Administer injections and vaccines, adapt and renew prescriptions, and manage drug therapies to optimize patient health outcomes
• Dispensing & Quality Assurance: Oversee the accurate preparation, packaging, labeling, and dispensing of medications, ensuring strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with local physicians, clinics, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate seamless transitions of care
• Healthcare Education: Serve as a trusted drug information resource for patients, caregivers, and fellow healthcare professionals
