Summary:

To manage the operations of the Pharmacy while on duty, including providing consultations to customers and healthcare providers, practicing to full scope in professional services, dispensing medication, and assisting in dispensary maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Provide pharmacy and customer service, acknowledging all customers approaching the pharmacy.
• Practice within federal/provincial, regulatory, and legal requirements.
• Ensure all privacy requirements are met, including confidentiality and consent management.
• Offer counselling on prescriptions and over-the-counter products.
• Practice to the full extent of your professional scope and services.
• Be clearly identifiable to the public.
• Ensure accuracy of all dispensed prescriptions.
• Communicate with healthcare professionals to coordinate customer care.
• Maintain all required records according to legislation, standards, and policies.

Workflow and Inventory Management:

• Control access to the dispensary respecting inventory and confidentiality.
• Review and maintain workflow queues daily.
• Regularly review 'will call' bins and expired inventory.
• Oversee stock levels and medication orders.
• Ensure compliance with regulations regarding controlled substances, including reporting to authorities.

Operations:

• Maintain a professional appearance of workstations and waiting areas.
• Participate in financial reporting as needed.
• Respond to store communications.
• File incident reports for medication or privacy issues.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Ability to think independently and make decisions.
• Plan, coordinate, delegate, and coach colleagues.
• Proven ability to drive business growth and support enterprise programs.
• Exceptional customer service skills and professionalism.
• Strong problem-solving skills with action plan execution experience.
