We invite applications for the Part-time Pharmacist position at our Chappelle Pharmacy in Edmonton, AB. The successful candidate must have open availability from Monday through Sunday and be willing to assist at other locations as needed.

What you’ll do:

1. Abide by laws and ethical principles governing pharmacy practice to ensure high-quality patient care and safety.
2. Exercise professional judgment within federal, provincial, legal, and regulatory requirements, adhering to the provincial code of ethics, standards of practice, and policies, demonstrating integrity and professionalism.
3. Provide patient-focused services, advice, and counseling on prescriptions, over-the-counter medications, and health-related issues.
4. Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals in the community to optimize patient care.
5. Oversee Pharmacy Technicians and Assistants in medication delivery, counseling, and patient assistance.
6. Assist in inventory management, including ordering pharmaceutical products and OTC merchandise.
7. Manage activities related to the procurement, safekeeping, and disbursement of narcotics and controlled substances.

Who you are:

• You hold a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (B.Sc.Phm.) or a Doctorate in Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from a recognized institution.
• You have retail pharmacy experience.
• You possess an active pharmacy license in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy, with Additional Prescribing Authority (APA).
• Certifications like Canadian Diabetes Educator and Asthma Action plan experience are assets.
• You demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• You are honest, trustworthy, results-oriented, and committed to excellence.
• You value building relationships, collaboration, and diverse perspectives to achieve shared goals.
