Job summary

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge all customers approaching the Pharmacy
• Practice within federal/provincial regulatory requirements
• Ensure privacy requirements and consent management are met
• Provide counselling on prescriptions and products
• Practice to full scope with Professional Services within capability
• Be clearly identifiable to the public
• Ensure accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions dispensed
• Communicate with other health care professionals to support patient care
• Maintain records per legislation and policy
• Control access to dispensary and maintain confidentiality
• Review and manage Workflow Queues daily
• Review stock for expired inventory and manage orders
• Ensure documentation for controlled substances and Health Canada reporting is met
• Maintain store image at entry/pickup areas and workstations
• Engage in financial reporting and internal communications
• Record and file any medication or privacy incidents as needed
• Participate in incident reporting and follow up as required
• Complete mandatory training and ongoing education as needed
