SUMMARY:

Shoppers Drug Mart Kensington is seeking a Part-Time Pharmacist to manage pharmacy operations during your shift. Responsibilities include providing consultations to customers and healthcare providers, practicing to full scope in professional services, dispensing medication, and assisting in maintaining the dispensary.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Pharmacy and Customer Service: acknowledge all customers approaching the pharmacy, practice within legal and regulatory requirements, ensure privacy and confidentiality, counsel on prescriptions and over-the-counter products, practice to full scope of professional services, be identifiable to the public, ensure accuracy of prescriptions, communicate with healthcare professionals, and maintain required records.
  • Workflow and Inventory Management: control access respecting confidentiality, review workflow queues daily, manage stock levels, review 'will call' bins, identify expired inventory, oversee stock orders, and comply with regulations regarding controlled substances.
  • Operations: maintain a professional image of the pharmacy, handle financial reports as appropriate, respond to store communications, and file incident reports for medication or privacy incidents.
  • Experience, Skills & Qualifications: demonstrate independent decision-making, lead and coach pharmacy colleagues, drive business growth, provide exceptional customer service, possess strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills, have knowledge of pharmacy systems, and follow health & safety procedures. Complete mandatory and ongoing training.
