Alberta Health Services' Grande Prairie Regional Hospital is seeking a Pharmacist I who is passionate about clinical practice and direct patient care. You will work with physicians, nurses, patients, and families to ensure safe, effective medication therapy in a hospital setting.

This role supports professional growth through quality improvement activities, mentorship opportunities, and expanded practice development, with full-time, regular status.

Formación

• Completion of Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
• Current, provisional or transferable registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP) as a Pharmacist.
• Additional Prescribing Authorization is required or must be obtained within one year of hire.
• Previous hospital or acute care pharmacy experience is an asset.

Responsabilidades

• Check prepared medications and coordinate access to specialized therapies.
• Document clinical interventions and support medication stewardship initiatives.
• Provide order verification for Grande Prairie Regional Hospital and surrounding rural sites.

*In addition to the AHS salary, this role is currently eligible for a Remote Retention Allowance of up to $3,000 annually and a Northern Pharmacist Wage Supplement of up to $10,000 annually. It may also qualify for an additional recruitment incentive through the HSAA Rural Capacity Investment Fund, subject to approval.

Grande Prairie Regional Hospital (GPRH) is seeking a Pharmacist I who is passionate about clinical practice and direct patient care. As part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will work closely with physicians, nurses, patients, and families to ensure safe, effective, and appropriate medication therapy. Responsibilities include reviewing and verifying medication orders, checking prepared medications, coordinating access to specialized therapies, documenting clinical interventions, and supporting medication stewardship initiatives. The position also includes order verification responsibilities for GPRH and surrounding rural sites. Description

As a Pharmacist I, you will be responsible for the safe, effective and efficient preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical services. You will manage medication therapy for patients, both initially and on an ongoing basis. In addition, you will provide assessment, intervention and resolution of potential or actual drug-related problems and oversee activities related to compounding and packaging.

Required Qualifications
