PharmaChoice Trail Apothecary in the West Kootenays is seeking a pharmacist to join our family-owned team. The right candidate will contribute to patient care and clinical services in a supportive, outdoors-friendly community.

Qualifications

• Clinical assessments and chronic/acute therapy management
• Vaccinations and prescription renewals as part of clinical interventions
• Quality assurance in dispensing and safety compliance
• Collaboration with physicians and healthcare teams to coordinate transitions of care
• Patient education and drug information for patients, caregivers, and professionals

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments, manage chronic and acute medication therapy, and provide comprehensive patient counseling.
• Administer injections and vaccines, adapt and renew prescriptions, and manage drug therapies to optimize patient health outcomes.
• Oversee the accurate preparation, packaging, labeling, and dispensing of medications, ensuring safety and regulatory standards.
• Work closely with local physicians, clinics, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate seamless transitions of care.
• Serve as a trusted drug information resource for patients, caregivers, and fellow healthcare professionals.
