Responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrate warmth, empathy, and compassion while acting in the patient’s best interest to achieve excellence in patient-centered care, customer service, workflow efficiencies, and clinical services (disease management, medication reviews, adherence, health risk assessments, injections/vaccines).
  • Provide patient counseling and education for new therapies, tailoring communication to patient needs and concerns (literacy, hearing loss, privacy).
  • Initiate care plans, follow up, and ensure proper documentation.
  • Participate in professional programs and collaborate with colleagues to deliver health and wellness services.
  • Engage actively in all areas of Fusion to ensure seamless patient care and consistent pharmacy experiences across locations.
  • Ensure prescription safety, prioritizing technical functions for Pharmacy Registered Technicians and Assistants as required.
  • Understand all relevant pharmacy services and recommend appropriate programs to meet patient healthcare needs.
  • Maintain current knowledge of pharmacy practice, regulatory requirements, and industry trends; attend training as needed.
  • Adhere to all regulatory requirements, company policies, processes, and procedures (e.g., OHS, Loss Prevention, CQI).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.
  • Licensed Pharmacist in good standing in the province of practice.
  • Injection and First Aid Certification.
  • Kroll software experience is preferred.
