Calian is proud to continue a long-standing contractual relationship with the Department of National Defence (DND) to provide healthcare services to the Canadian Armed Forces. Through the Health Care Provider Contract, Calian employs health care professionals across Canada who are integral to supporting the health and wellbeing of our military members.

Position Overview

Calian Health is seeking a part-time Pharmacist for Canadian Armed Forces members in their clinic located on Canadian Forces Base Winnipeg.

Responsibilities

1. Dispensing medications and educating patients about their medications.
2. Liaising with doctors and checking medication inventory.
3. Making a direct impact on the health and well-being of our Canadian Armed Forces while working independently in the pharmacy.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy; from a recognized Canadian University accredited by the Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs (CCAPP), or any graduate of a foreign university who has successfully met the provincial requirements to obtain a pharmacy license.
• Completed a National Board examination through the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (PEBC).
• Licensed and in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
• Must have a minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience within the last 5 years providing direct patient care as a clinical or community pharmacist.
• Current certification or willingness to obtain CPR Level C with AED.

Additional Information

• Working hours are Monday to Friday, from 7:30AM-4:00PM, we are only seeking 9.5hrs per week.
• You will be able to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level.
