About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Pharmacist or Pharmacy Manager to join our team in Nakusp, BC .

Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager or Owner, you will be responsible for developing, communicating and implementing business strategies to increase Rx counts, OTC sales, & home health care. In addition to this, you will fill prescriptions in accordance with licensing & governing bodies, and use good pharmaceutical care.

Our pharmacists work closely with physicians, hospital staff, and local healthcare providers, offering a more collaborative and clinically involved experience than many traditional community pharmacy settings.

Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

  • Providing excellent customer service through effective dialogue and professional advice
  • Being aware of any in-store events and supporting these events within the store
  • Abiding by the Code of Ethics as set forth by the College of Pharmacists of BC
  • Reviewing patient records for potential drug interactions, allergies and therapeutic duplication
  • Verifying the input of drug and patient information into PharmaNet patient records
  • Supervising and training pharmacy assistants and technicians
  • Ensuring company standard operating procedures, policies, professional standards and all applicable laws and regulations are followed
  • Participating in, developing, promoting, and implementing our pharmacy services through in-store communication, seminars or information days

About You

To qualify, you must have a Bachelor of Pharmacy and be licensed to practice in British Columbia , or be eligible and committed to obtaining your license prior to your start date.

The following will be critical to successfully performing this role :

  • Strong sales ability, leadership, energy, and passion
  • Experience or familiarity with pharmacy systems (Kroll Paperless is an asset)
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service
  • Willingness to relocate to Nakusp, BC
