Position: Pharmaceutical Sales Representative, Ophthalmology – Quebec City and Eastern QC

Job Description & Key Responsibilities:

Xediton is seeking energetic, self-motivated professionals with strong communication skills for the role of Pharmaceutical Sales Representative in Quebec City and Eastern QC. The role involves developing business relationships with Ophthalmologists and other Healthcare Providers (including Optometrists, Pharmacists, GPs, and others) in clinic and hospital settings. The successful candidate will support brand marketing efforts to promote growth and profitability, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.

The primary responsibility is to achieve and/or exceed sales targets.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Achieve sales targets through effective territory management and sales planning.
  • Develop and maintain a sales plan using the company’s CRM system.
  • Implement sales strategies to maximize opportunities within the territory.
  • Identify new promotional opportunities, develop campaigns, and promote products to increase sales and brand awareness.
  • Conduct sales calls on Ophthalmologists and Healthcare Providers to promote and sell products.
  • Build and maintain productive customer relationships to meet scientific and business needs.
  • Engage in dialogue with customers to understand patient needs and how our products can meet those needs.
  • Assist in sales planning, strategies, territorial coverage, and forecasting.
  • Produce regular analysis of the territory’s performance.
  • Develop long-term relationships with current and potential customers.
  • Support operational marketing plans aligned with business objectives.
  • Adapt sales messages to customer profiles and considerations.
  • Attend sales meetings, industry conferences, and tradeshows as required.
  • Promote product awareness and grow the sales base within the territory.
  • Manage key accounts effectively.
  • Handle product complaints and adverse reactions, documenting or forwarding as appropriate.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • University Degree, preferably in Science or Business.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative, preferably in Ophthalmology.
  • Energetic, detail-oriented team player with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Creative, organized, adaptable, self-motivated, and resourceful.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with social media tools is an asset.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills to prioritize and manage workload effectively.
  • Innovative selling skills with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Ability to learn technical and product information for training and promotional purposes.
  • High energy, results-oriented, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable with prospecting and cold calling, with a strong sales aptitude.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and positive company image.
