Job summary

AstraZeneca is seeking a Marketing Intern to support Alexion Canada’s rare disease franchises with hands-on marketing activities. You will work with cross-functional teams, agencies, and external stakeholders to learn how innovative therapies reach patients and healthcare providers.

The role offers a 12-month paid internship starting January 2027, based in Mississauga with a three-day-per-week onsite schedule under AstraZeneca’s hybrid model.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program and returning to school after the placement.
• Available to work full-time for the duration of the internship.
• Able to participate in AstraZeneca’s hybrid working model.
• Experience in healthcare, life sciences, business, communications, marketing, or a related field is an asset.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; French is an asset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Provide marketing support across Alexion Canada’s rare disease franchises with cross-functional collaboration.
• Assist with marketing planning, insights, project coordination, and performance tracking.
• Develop customer-facing and internal materials (presentations, digital content, emails, training resources).
• Coordinate participation in national and regional medical conferences and external events.
• Support digital and omnichannel marketing initiatives including website updates and content performance tracking.
• Assist with sales meetings, workshops, and internal engagement activities.
• Support asset management and review processes (Veeva Medical, Legal, Regulatory).
• Coordinate timelines, deliverables, and agency communications.
