Job description

When we put unexpected teams in the same room, we unleash bold thinking with the power to inspire life-changing medicines. In-person working gives us the platform to connect, work at pace and challenge perceptions. That’s why we work, on average, a minimum of three days per week from the office. But that doesn’t mean we’re not flexible. We balance the expectation of being in the office while respecting individual flexibility. Join us in our unique and ambitious world.

By combining qualitative insights with quantitative analytics, this role drives strategic decision-making and ensures alignment with franchise objectives throughout the brand lifecycle.

This role is responsible for leading projects or cross functional teams in the design and delivery of insights, data analytics and visualization solutions that address complex business challenges. The position requires translating stakeholder needs into actionable insight and data strategies, fostering effective communication, and building collaborative relationships across functional areas.

The successful candidate will connect evidence, analytics and business judgment to influence decisions across commercial, medical, market access, finance, supply, patient support and regional or global teams. The role is expected not only to produce analysis, but also to ensure that insights are understood, adopted and translated into measurable business actions.

What you’ll do:
Strategic Insights
  • Lead and establish the annual insights plan, informing brand strategy and therapeutic area decisions through primary market research, patient journey mapping, competitive intelligence, and voice of customer analysis
  • Lead development of the annual Fact Book to support strategic planning and performance evaluation
  • Guide forecasting processes by advancing insights into commercial assumptions and market dynamics
  • Lead the brand insights process end-to-end, including budget oversight and vendor partnerships, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality research that illuminates market opportunities
  • Shape strategies with Regional and Global stakeholders to leverage resources and deliver strategic milestones
  • Lead insight generation across the brand lifecycle, including pre-launch planning, launch readiness, post-launch performance, indication expansion, market shaping and lifecycle optimization.
Data Analytics and Performance Management
  • Conduct rigorous quantitative analyses on patient data to uncover business opportunities and generate actionable insights
  • Lead ad-hoc analyses including data visualizations that translate complex information into clear strategic recommendations
  • Lead cross-functional workshops to align KPIs, metrics definitions, and reporting standards
  • Collaborate with Data Capabilities and IT teams to shape and prioritize critical reporting that supports strategic priorities
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies (including AI) to enhance analytical capabilities and competitive advantage
  • Apply appropriate analytical methods such as market sizing, patient-flow analysis, treatment-pathway analysis, segmentation, forecasting, scenario modelling, predictive analytics and opportunity prioritization.
Essential Qualifications/ Experience:
  • Minimum 6 years in insights and data analytics within pharmaceuticals, healthcare, life sciences, or management consulting
  • Bachelor's in business, management, analytics or Sciences degree required
  • Proven experience designing and managing primary market research
  • Strong proficiency with analytical tools (R, Python) and visualization platforms (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Deep knowledge of Canadian pharma data sources including IQVIA, EMR, claims data, TSA/TCR, CompuScript, Xponent, and CD&H
  • Experience in rare disease commercial landscape preferred
  • Advanced quantitative modeling skills with ability to apply frameworks that drive business decisions
  • Analytical mindset with demonstrated ability to generate insights from complex data and communicate findings clearly to executive audiences
  • Strong collaboration skills with ability to influence without direct authority and build consensus across departments and levels
  • Excellent project management capabilities to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously in a dynamic environment
  • Learning agility and intellectual curiosity to challenge assumptions and drive continuous improvement
  • Passion for enabling business success through high-quality insights and analytics that deliver measurable commercial impact
Desired Qualifications:
