Job summary
LAPORTE is seeking a Process Engineer to support pharmaceutical and biotechnology projects in Toronto, focusing on clean utilities, sterile operations, and process systems. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical engineering.
- 3+ years of relevant process engineering experience in pharmaceutical/biotech.
- Experience with clean utilities, CIP/SIP, and sanitary process systems.
- Experience producing PFDs, P&IDs, and process calculations.
- Familiarity with GMP design principles, ASME BPE and ISPE guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Review project documentation and quickly familiarize with ongoing projects.
- Execute process engineering work packages with limited supervision.
- Prepare/update PFDs, P&IDs, process descriptions, and utility load summaries.
- Perform mass and energy balances and hydraulic calculations.
- Coordinate with other disciplines and participate in design reviews.
