Job summary

Champion Petfoods is seeking a Product Development (PD) Technician - Wet, Fresh & Treats to support prototyping, data capture, and trials across wet, fresh, and treats categories. Hybrid role with 3 days in person at Acheson (AB) or Bowling Green (KY), no relocation.

You will draft SOPs, record results, coordinate palatability testing, procure samples, and ensure safety and quality in development activities. Work with product developers and cross-functional teams to drive timely execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Biology, or related field.
• Working knowledge of food product development, lab techniques, testing methodologies, and data collection practices.

Responsibilities

• Execute hands-on product prototyping and bench development.
• Accurately capture experimental data and maintain records.
• Draft/update SOPs, specifications, and development records.
• Coordinate logistics for palatability testing and trials.
• Build and maintain centralized data systems (e.g., SharePoint).
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to enable project execution.
