Job summary

Homepro Pest Control is seeking an experienced Pest Control Technician to join the Ottawa team on a full-time basis. You will independently inspect properties, apply IPM-based treatments, and guide customers on prevention, with strong emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of licensed pest control experience, excellent communication skills, and a valid Ontario G-class license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on pest control experience in a licensed capacity.
• Strong working knowledge of IPM principles and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work independently and manage a route/schedule.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Valid Ontario G-class driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pest control services using IPM principles, applying sound judgment on treatment selection and application.

Position Summary

The Pest Control Technician is responsible for independently inspecting client properties, identifying pest activity, delivering pest management services in accordance with regulatory requirements, and providing professional guidance to customers. This role requires a candidate who can hit the ground running with minimal onboarding.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex or recurring pest issues with minimal supervision
• Educate clients on treatment plans, preventative measures, and follow‑up recommendations, building long‑term client trust
• Maintain accurate service documentation and reports
• Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly
• Mentor and support junior technicians or trainees as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of hands‑on pest control experience in a licensed capacity
• Strong working knowledge of IPM principles and regulatory requirements
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage a route/schedule
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Sound judgment, problem‑solving ability, and attention to detail
• Valid Ontario G-class driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
• Ability to perform the essential duties of the role
