Overview

You are a qualified pesticide applicator looking for your next opportunity to further build your career! With great communication and excellent customer service, you have no issues helping to coach others on managing their pest problems! If this sounds like you, Broadstreet Properties is seeking a Pest Control Technician based in Edmonton to be responsible for the safe and effective treatments of pests in and around residential properties, providing timely and cost-effective pest detection, elimination, and prevention solutions for our program. The ideal candidate is proactive, driven, knowledgeable in pest biology and control methods, and committed to delivering exceptional service while maintaining compliance with all regulations.

Your contributions to the team
  • Inspect residential units, common areas, and exterior grounds to identify pest activity, entry points, and conditions conducive to infestations, determining type of treatment needed to eliminate pest issues
  • Safely apply pesticides, baits, traps, and other control methods in accordance with label instructions, company policies, and government regulations
  • Monitor pest activity and adjust treatment strategies to achieve long-term control and prevention
  • Maintain accurate service records, including treatment details, materials used, and follow-up recommendations
  • Collaborate and educate both Operations and Facilities teams with preventative measures to reduce pest activity and carrying out pest management plans
  • Supporting and developing the growth of the program
  • Operate and maintain equipment in a safe and efficient manner
  • Respond promptly to urgent pest issues and provide exceptional customer service
  • Stay current with industry best practices, new products, and regulatory changes
What you need to be successful
  • Alberta Provincial Pesticide Applicator License
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
  • Available to travel between sites throughout Alberta as required (company vehicle will be provided)
  • Previous experience in pest control, facilities, or property management is required
  • Strong attention to detail, scheduling and coordination, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Great communication and excellent customer service
  • Ability to perform inspections, carry equipment, operate hand and power tools and access confined spaces or heights if required
