The Lac La Ronge Indian Band Education Department is seeking a full-time PES Case Worker in La Ronge, SK to manage a caseload of adults on Income Assistance. You will assess employability, barriers, and develop action plans toward employability under supervision.

Qualifications include a Diploma in social sciences, one year of counselling First Nations members, and a valid driver’s license with a vehicle. Abilities in Cree are an asset, and a satisfactory background check is required.

Qualifikationen

• Diploma in social sciences.
• One-year experience in counselling First Nations members.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and own a reliable vehicle.
• Criminal Record, Vulnerable Sector Check and Driver’s Abstract required.

Aufgaben

• Assessing client employability.
• Assessing client needs and barriers to employment.
• Assessing steps to reduce or remove client employment barriers.
• Ability to develop a client Action Plan that assists a client to become employed.
• Coordinate case management supports and services.
• Referral of clients to programs and services for meeting training, employment supports or mental/addiction and job transition supports.
• Other work-related duties as assigned by Immediate Supervisor.
