Position Overview:
Reporting directly to the Coordinator/Programmer, Active Living, this casual position is responsible for designing and implementing individualized exercise programs to help clients achieve their health and fitness goals. Personal Trainers work with diverse populations and a range of fitness levels.
The Ideal Candidate:
We are seeking an active professional with Current Standard First Aid with CPR-C, Certified Personal Trainer (Can Fit Pro or equivalent), or other specialty certification, a demonstrated understanding of different training methods (e.g., strength, cardio, flexibility, and functional training), and experience and knowledge with strength and cardio conditioning equipment. In the process or obtained post-secondary degree/diploma in Kinesiology/Recreation would be an asset.
The candidate will have demonstrated excellent customer service skills, verbal and written communication skills, organization skills with attention to detail. This candidate will also possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Satisfactory passing of a vulnerable sector check and proof of qualifications will be required of any successful candidate(s) for these positions.
