Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager Surgical (B5), you will work under the supervision of a regulated healthcare provider, providing direct personal care to patients according to their care plan. You are responsible for delivering quality patient care aligned with BCHS's Mission, Vision, and Values.

Position Requirements

  • Practice within an Interprofessional Collaborative Practice (IPC) model
  • Follow BCHS policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with the care team on patient needs and outcomes
  • Provide relevant patient information to team members
  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADL) and mobility as per care plan
  • Observe and report changes in patient condition
  • Document care activities according to BCHS policies

Education Requirements

  • Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate from a Community College
  • Current BCLS Certification

  • Experience working with diverse patient populations in a hospital setting
