AgeCare is seeking a Personal Support Worker to provide compassionate care to residents in Ontario according to their care plans. The role emphasizes maintaining a safe, respectful environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

You will monitor care per the plan, document observations, participate in training, assist with onboarding, and adhere to IPAC procedures to ensure high-quality, safe care. This position emphasizes teamwork within a supportive, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Personal Support Worker Certificate/Diploma Program.
• Meet the vocational standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities.
• Meet the standards established by the National Association of Career Colleges.
• Meet the standards established by the Ontario Community Support Association.
• Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatments and related bedside care to residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring care to ensure it aligns with the plan of care by observing residents and reporting findings to the supervisor.
• Assist in documentation of information pertaining to the care of residents as directed.
• Attend in-service education sessions, staff meetings, and workshops as directed.

The Opportunity

The Personal Support Worker (PSW) is responsible for providing care to residents according to their care plans and assisting in the identification of resident needs. The PSW assists in maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, and other staff members.
