The Opportunity:

The Personal Support Worker is responsible for providing care to residents according to their care plans and assisting in identifying resident needs. They help maintain a safe, secure environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

What Is In It For You:
  • Assist in monitoring the care provided to ensure it aligns with the care plan, observing residents and reporting findings to the supervisor.
  • Help document resident care information as directed.
  • Participate in in-service education, staff meetings, and workshops.
  • Assist in onboarding new staff as directed.
  • Follow IPAC (Infection Prevention and Control) policies and procedures.
What You Will Need:
  • Graduate of a Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate/Diploma Program.
  • Meet the vocational standards of the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities.
  • Meet standards established by the National Association of Career Colleges and the Ontario Community Support Association.
  • Knowledge of procedures and techniques for simple treatments and bedside care, understanding sanitation and clean techniques, and awareness of geriatric residents' needs.
