Responsibilities include :

  • Providing skilled care for all activities of daily living in accordance with corporate policy, standards, and nursing practice.
  • Assisting registered staff with diagnostic and therapeutic measures.
  • Completing documentation accurately and on time.
  • Ensuring holistic, quality resident care aligned with RhynoCare’s Mission, Vision, Values, and the Resident Bill of Rights.
  • Supporting resident meal services and restorative nursing.
  • Participating in resident care planning, risk management, and quality improvement programs.
  • Maintaining compliance with legislation, regulations, and safety procedures.
  • Mentoring new staff and promoting educational opportunities.
  • Participating in safety, interdisciplinary, and team meetings.
  • Adhering to health and safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and equipment.

Qualifications :

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Proficient in verbal and written English; second language skills are an asset.
  • Completion of a Ministry-approved PSW Training Program (minimum 640 hours) or related health field education.
  • Experience as a Facility PSW is an asset.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certificates.
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray, and clearance per Public Hospitals Act.
  • VSS clearance within the past year.
