Job summary

Extendicare St. Catharines is hiring a part-time Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide direct care in our senior living residence.

You will assist residents with mobility, grooming, feeding and daily activities, while supporting their emotional and social needs during the night shift (10pm–6am). Successful candidates will have a PSW certification, physical stamina for routine tasks, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• PSW certification required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, reaching and lifting.
• Proficient reading, writing and communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with mobility, feeding, bathing, toileting and personal grooming.
• Encourage resident participation in activities and programs.
• Provide emotional and social support to residents and families.
