Short Description: Join our team to make a positive impact on the lives of older adults in a supportive retirement residence environment.

Accountability Objective

Under the direction of the Health and Wellness Manager, participates in delivering care to residents based on individualized care plans, policies, procedures, and standards of care.

Background/Qualifications
  • Certificate from an approved Health Care Aide or Personal Support Worker program.
  • Minimum of grade 12 education.
  • Experience in long-term care or retirement residence preferred.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Resident-oriented with aligned values and vision.
Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the Verve Quality Improvement (VQI) program.
  • Provide cognitive, social, and emotional support to residents, promoting comfort and safety.
  • Perform nursing care procedures according to standards, including infection control protocols.
  • Comply with occupational health and safety legislation and policies.
  • Complete mandatory training and accurate documentation.
  • Monitor and evaluate intervention outcomes, suggesting improvements.
  • Perform delegated tasks as assigned by supervisors.
