Essential Job Functions:

• Providing 1:1 care assistance to clients, either individually or in a team.
• Assist in 2-person transfers using mechanical lifts or 1-person assists.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Support clients with Activities of Daily Living such as toileting, bathing, dressing, feeding, and ambulation.
• Assist in palliative care as needed.
• Maintain communication regarding client care needs and changes, and report appropriately.
• Assist with Instrumental Activities of Daily Living like laundry, changing linens, and warming meals.

Requirements of the Position:

• Must have a vehicle with valid auto insurance.
• Flexible scheduling availability.
• Certified PSW or International Nurse.
• Experience with 2-person transfers is an asset; training provided.
• Experience with palliative care is an asset.
• Experience with bed-bound clients and all forms of personal care.
• Team player willing to collaborate with other CAREGivers.
• Experience with Alzheimer's, Dementia, Parkinson's, MS, Diabetes is an asset.
• Comfortable with pets and/or smoking.
