Job Details:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, following corporate policies and nursing standards.
• Support registered staff with diagnostic and therapeutic measures.
• Complete documentation accurately and timely.
• Provide holistic, quality care aligned with RhynoCare’s Mission, Vision, Values, and the Resident Bill of Rights.
• Support resident meal services and restorative nursing.
• Coordinate activities for effective resident care during shifts.
• Ensure care complies with legislation, best practices, and policies.
• Participate in risk management and quality improvement programs.
• Maintain accurate documentation for all care provided.
• Mentor new staff/students and promote educational opportunities.
• Attend departmental, interdisciplinary, and safety meetings.
• Promote teamwork and adherence to safety procedures, including proper body mechanics, equipment use, lockout procedures, and PPE usage.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proficient in English; second language skills are an asset.
• Completion of a Ministry-approved PSW Training Program (≥640 hours) or be a student in Year 1 of RN, RPN, Paramedic, Occupational Therapy, or Physiotherapy programs.
• Experience as a Facility PSW is an asset.
• Negative T.B. test or chest x-ray, current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Meet health surveillance requirements and have VSS clearance within the past year.
