Job summary

Extendicare is hiring a Personal Support Worker (PSW) at Riverbend Place Home in Cambridge, Ontario. This part-time role involves direct resident care and support within established policies, procedures, and routines.

You will assist with mobility, feeding, bathing and daily living activities, while also encouraging participation in programs and providing emotional support to residents and their families.

Qualifications

• PSW certification from an Ontario post-secondary institution or district school board meeting Ministry requirements.
• Able to perform physical tasks including frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
• Compassion, professionalism, and respect.
• Experience with older adult population is an asset.
• Strong customer and resident service skills.
• Experience in a high-paced customer service setting is an asset.
• Flexible and willingness to learn new tasks.
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English (other languages an asset).

As a valued member of our PSW team, you will provide direct care to residents in accordance with policies, procedures and work routines. This position is for our Riverbend Place Home, located in Cambridge, Ontario. Available opportunities include: Casual; Day/Evening/Night shifts

What you’ll be doing

What you bring
