Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is hiring Personal Support Workers to deliver compassionate, resident-centered care in Milton, Ontario. You will assist with daily living activities, personal hygiene, mobility support, meals, and social engagement while aligning with multi-disciplinary teams.

We seek individuals with PSW certification or equivalent nursing qualifications, strong communication, empathy, and time management.

Qualifications

• PSW Certification or internationally educated nurse required.
• Ability to handle emotional and physical demands of the role.
• Strong teamwork and customer service mindset.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated organizational and time-management skills.
• Volunteer/working experience in a Senior Living setting is an asset.

• Support activities of daily living including ambulatory care and personal hygiene.
• Provide companionship and nutritional support to residents.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team and maintain clear communication with residents, families and staff.

How YOU make a difference

PSWs support and deliver on all personalized activities of daily living that meet our resident's needs. This includes ambulatory support, personal hygiene, companionship and nutritional support.

PSWs are an integral part of our multi-disciplinary team who build trusted relationships with our residents, families and teams with continuous ongoing and effective communication

What YOU bring

• Personal Support Worker Certification from a certified educational facility OR internationally educated nurse
• Strong drive, respect and an understanding of the emotional and physical demands of the role
• Focus on teamwork and customer service with the ability to build trusted relationships
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
• Volunteer/working experience in a Senior Living setting is an asset, not required
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification required
• Current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or be willing to obtain one
