Job summary

Cogir Senior Living in Ontario is hiring Personal Support Workers to deliver compassionate, resident-centered care. You will assist with activities of daily living, mobility, personal hygiene and meal support as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Applicants must have PSW certification or be internationally educated nurses, with current CPR and First Aid and a clean Vulnerable Sector Check. The role offers onboarding, ongoing training, benefits and a supportive workplace focused on respect and

Qualifications

• PSW certification from a certified educational facility or internationally educated nurse.
• Strong drive, respect and understanding of the emotional and physical demands of the role.
• Focus on teamwork and customer service with the ability to build trusted relationships.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
• Volunteer/working experience in a Senior Living setting is an asset, not required.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification required.
• Current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• PSWs support and deliver on all personalized activities of daily living that meet our resident’s needs.
• Includes ambulatory support, personal hygiene, companionship and nutritional support.
• PSWs are an integral part of our multi-disciplinary team with ongoing communication with clinical leads.
