Job summary

ParaMed Home Health Care is seeking a Personal Support Worker to join the home-care team serving Dryden and Sioux Lookout, Ontario. You will assist patients with daily living activities and support independence in their homes and communities.

You will provide essential care tasks, plan meals as directed, and offer companionship to enhance quality of life. A valid PSW certificate, reliable transportation, and a compassionate approach are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Personal Support Worker certificate is required.
• Demonstrated compassion and care when interacting with patients.
• Reliability and flexibility to adapt to home-care settings.
• Valid driver license and access to a vehicle to travel to patient residences.
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Screen is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including skin, hair and oral care, bathing, toileting, and peri-care.
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks per care plan and dietary restrictions.
• Provide basic housekeeping and companionship to improve quality of life.

This position is located in Dryden and Sioux Lookout, Ontario. As a Personal Support Worker (PSW) you will be an integral part of the home and community care team. You will support, encourage and provide independence for patients in their homes and community settings by assisting with activities of daily living.

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including skin, hair, and oral care along with bathing, toileting, & peri-care
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks, including special diets, as determined by the care plan
• Provide basic housekeeping tasks and companionship to help your patients enjoy a better quality of life
