We are seeking PSWs in the Kenora area to provide care. Shifts may vary from mornings to evenings and every other weekend. We are seeking casual individuals who are available to pick up shifts as needed.

Job Benefits:

  • 4% Vacation Pay on every pay

  • 4 hour shift minimum

The successful candidate’s areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Provide personal care
  • Utilize lifts in the home to transfer clients
  • Providing cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support
  • Provide behavioural support and crisis intervention
  • Maintaining open communication with client and their family
  • Monitoring care plan and adding documentation with any changes and updates
  • Responding to all emergency situations
  • All other duties, as assigned

Key qualifications for this position will include, but are not limited to:

  • PSW certification is required
  • Valid First Aid/CPR certificate
  • Completion of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check within last 6 months
  • CPI training is an asset**
  • Drivers License and own insured vehicle is required**
  • Satisfactory professional references
  • Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions
  • Must be able to anticipate problems and use sound judgment and tact in handling confidential matters
