Qualifications Needed

• Personal Support Worker Certificate or equivalent certification (e.g., Home Support Worker, Level II/III, Health Care Aide, Personal Attendant)
• Students in health care programs or related certifications (e.g., RN, RPN, Practical Nurse, Developmental Support Worker)
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications
• Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (last 12 months)
• Proof of negative TB test (last 12 months) and up-to-date immunizations
• Valid driver’s license and access to personal vehicle
• Ability to travel within Port Perry community
• Commitment to work every other weekend
• Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are assets
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs (16 kg) safely

Your Role

You will support clients to be safe and independent at home, providing personal care, assisting with mobility and light exercises, and observing/reporting any changes in their condition. Light housekeeping may also be required as per care plans.
