The Opportunity

The Personal Support Worker is responsible for providing care to residents according to their care plans and assisting in identifying resident needs. They help maintain a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

What Is In It For You
  • Monitoring care provided to residents, ensuring it aligns with care plans by observing and reporting findings.
  • Documenting resident care information as directed.
  • Attending in-service education sessions, staff meetings, and workshops.
  • Assisting in onboarding new staff as directed.
  • Following IPAC (Infection Prevention and Control) policies and procedures.
What You Will Need
  • Graduate of a Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate/Diploma Program.
  • Meet vocational standards by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities.
  • Meet standards established by the National Association of Career Colleges.
  • Meet standards by the Ontario Community Support Association.

Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatments and bedside care, understanding good sanitation practices, and respecting the needs of geriatric residents.
