The Opportunity

The Personal Support Worker is responsible for providing care according to care plans and assisting in identifying resident needs. They help maintain a safe environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

What Is In It For You
  • Monitoring residents' care to ensure it aligns with care plans, observing and reporting findings.
  • Assisting in documenting resident care information as directed.
  • Attending in-service education, staff meetings, and workshops.
  • Assisting in onboarding new staff.
  • Following IPAC (Infection Prevention and Control) policies and procedures.
What You Will Need
  • Graduate of a Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate/Diploma Program.
  • Meet the vocational standards set by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities.
  • Meet standards established by the National Association of Career Colleges.
  • Meet standards established by the Ontario Community Support Association.

Knowledge of basic procedures and techniques for administering treatments and bedside care, understanding sanitation and cleanliness, and knowledge of geriatric residents' needs.
