The Opportunity

The Personal Support Worker is responsible for providing care to residents according to their care plans and assisting in identifying resident needs. They help maintain a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

  • Assist in documenting resident care as directed.

Requirements
  • Graduate of a Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate/Diploma Program.
  • Meet vocational standards set by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities.
  • Meet standards established by the National Association of Career Colleges.
  • Meet standards of the Ontario Community Support Association.

Knowledge of procedures for administering treatments and bedside care, understanding sanitation, and caring for geriatric residents is essential.
