The John M. Parrott Centre is a fully accredited state-of-the-art, 168 bed long-term care home, owned and operated by the County of Lennox and Addington, in the Town of Greater Napanee. What you will do:

Reporting to the Manager of Nursing, you will play a vital role in supporting our mission to enhance the well-being of the individuals and communities we serve. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Support residents with their person centered activities of daily living that support their individual needs and preferences, ensuring comfort, dignity, and independence
  • Provide emotional, cognitive, and social support to promote residents’ overall well-being
  • Use safe and proper techniques for lifting and transferring residents

What you will bring:

We are looking for someone who shares our passion for helping people live their best lives and brings:

  • Personal Support Worker Certificate or recognized equivalent, as per the Fixing Long-Term Care Act
  • Strong communication and computer skills
  • Empathy and sincere commitment to the well-being of all individuals in long-term care, regardless of age
  • Strong team player, supporting colleagues and fostering a collaborative environment, while also able to work independently when needed
  • Proven ability to attend work regularly and punctually
  • Able to meet the physical and cognitive demands of the position
  • A satisfactory Criminal Record Check, including a Vulnerable Sector, is a condition of employment
