Job summary

Country Haven Retirement Home in Beachburg, ON is hiring a full-time role focused on patient care in a nursing home setting. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, help with meals, and ensure comfort and safety for residents.

The position requires 7 months to less than 1 year of related experience and a College certificate/diploma (3 months to under 1 year). On-site work is required with immunization and first aid prerequisites, in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• College certificate/diploma in a related field (3 months to <1 year).
• 7 months to <1 year of experience in a care setting.
• Work must be performed at the physical location; no remote work.

Responsibilities

• Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities.
• Perform other duties related to patient care and comfort.
• Provide personal care to patients (assistance with daily living).
• Take vital signs including blood pressure, temperature and pulse.
• Serve meal trays and assist feeding.
• Weigh, lift, turn and reposition patients.
• Make beds and maintain patient rooms.
• Transport patients between care facilities.
• Move patients in wheelchair or stretcher.
• Answer call signals to determine patient needs.
