Job summary

Next Youth Job in Whitby, Ontario is seeking a dedicated caregiver to join our team. The role requires providing bedside and personal care, assisting with daily activities, meals, and mobility in clients' homes.

This full-time position requires 1 year to 2 years of experience, a high school diploma, CPR and First Aid certificates, and a Personal Support Worker credential. On-site work with parking is available.

Qualifications

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
• 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience.
• Work must be completed at the physical location; no remote work option.

Responsibilities

• Administer bedside and personal care.
• Assist clients with water-based activities (e.g., pool).
• Assist with bathing and personal hygiene.
• Support regular exercise, e.g., walks.
• Feed or assist with feeding.
• Launder clothing and household linens.
• Mend clothing and linens.
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• Plan therapeutic diets and menus.
• Provide companionship.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
• Cook as needed.
