Position Details

Personal Support Worker (LTC), Mount Hope - St. Mary's 1st Floor - 1 position

Location: Mount Hope Centre for Long Term Care, London, ON

Employment Type: Part Time

Salary Range: $30.61 - $30.93/hour

Note: The hours of work reflect current scheduling arrangements and are subject to change as determined by the Employer.

Essential Qualifications
  • Graduate of a Personal Support Worker Certificate Program from an accredited education facility
  • Proof of registration with the Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA) (External Applicants Only)
  • Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform functions requiring heavy lifting, bending, standing, walking, pushing, pulling
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Police record check completed within the last six (6) months from a Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC), including vulnerable sector screening
Preferred Qualifications
  • Secondary (High) School Diploma
  • Proficiency in French (asset)
  • Interest in working with the elderly population
Teaching and Research

St. Joseph's Health Care London, through its affiliation with Western University and Fanshawe College, is a leading research and teaching hospital. As an employee, you will be expected to engage in role-related teaching and research activities in addition to clinical duties.

Immunization Requirements
  • Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella, varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, COVID-19, and influenza.
  • Provide documentation of Tuberculosis skin testing.
