Qualifications

• Graduate of a Personal Support Worker Certificate Program from an accredited education facility.
• Proof of registration with the Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA) (External Applicants Only).
• Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA.
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform functions that require heavy lifting, bending, standing, walking, pushing, pulling.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• A police record check completed within the last six (6) months from a Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC), inclusive of vulnerable sector screening, will be required of the successful candidate.

Salary Range: $31.44 - $31.77 /hour

This is a temporary position expected to extend until January 31, 2027, subject to the availability of work.

It is understood that the hours of work reflect the current scheduling arrangements and are subject to change as determined by the Employer.

The Nursing Restorative Program helps residents to reach their maximum abilities in activities of daily living to improve or maintain overall functioning. The role of the PSW in this program is to help provide 1:1 care for activities of daily living.

Essential Qualifications

• Graduate of a Personal Support Worker Certificate Program from an accredited education facility
