Job summary

The Village at St. Clair in Windsor, Ontario is seeking a Personal Support Worker to join their team on an unscheduled part-time basis, with an expected start date of July 16, 2026.

The role offers a competitive wage of C$25.98 per hour under the applicable collective agreement, along with benefits and opportunities for growth.

This position emphasizes resident-centered care, collaboration with the care team, and adherence to the plan of care to support residents and families.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate from an accredited Personal Support Worker (PSW) program or provincial equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate awareness of resident-centered care topics (infection control, continence care, oral/skin care, resident safety, nutrition, dementia, etc.).
• Prioritize and complete tasks effectively without compromising care and compassion.
• Follow the Plan of Care, observe changes, document them, and communicate with the Neighborhood Coordinator or village team member.
• Respect residents, families, team members and visitors; address requests with professionalism and care.
• Support and embrace resident-centered social culture and deliver high-quality service to residents, visitors, and staff.
• Participate in a multi-disciplinary team approach.
• Complete medication administration training provided by the village (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate awareness of resident‑centered care topics (e.g., infection control, continence care, oral/skin care, resident safety, nutrition, dementia, etc.)
• Be skilled and able to prioritize and complete tasks effectively without compromising the care and compassion provided to residents even when under stress
• Follow the Plan of Care, observe and report any substantial changes in resident’s care, document changes into the system, and communicate to the Neighborhood Coordinator or village registered team member
• Respect the rights and dignity of all residents, families, team members, and visitors to the Village and address any requests with professionalism and care
• Support and embrace our resident‑centered social culture and be proud to deliver the highest quality of service to our residents, visitors, and team members through comprehensive and effective support
• Participate in a multi‑disciplinary team approach
• Participate and successfully complete medication administration training provided by the village (only if posting for a medication admin position)
