A leading healthcare organization is seeking Health Care Technicians to provide hands-on care to palliative and acute medically complex clients. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will utilize a virtual monitoring system to ensure effective communication and care delivery. Our Health Care Technicians, Palliative and/or Acute Medically Complex, have unique opportunities to use their talents daily with palliative and/or acute medically complex clients. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the Directing (DRN) Care Technician provides direct, hands-on care to clients in their homes, collaborating closely with nursing and Home Care programs. The Care Technician communicates in real-time with the DRN via a virtual electronic monitoring system, enabling immediate information sharing.
Training will be provided to support advanced skill sets and requirements.
This position is eligible for a $3.00 per hour wage enhancement from the Ontario Government for all hours spent directly caring for clients.
This role requires attention to detail in a dynamic environment, involving physical activities such as lifting, carrying, bending, reaching, and kneeling, with emphasis on proper body mechanics. Tasks include walking, sitting, standing, climbing stairs, and fine hand movements.
