A leading health care organization is seeking Health Care Technicians to provide direct care to palliative and acute medically complex clients. Under a Registered Nurse's guidance, you will support daily living activities and communicate via a virtual system. This part-time role offers training and a wage enhancement for hours spent caring for clients.

Our Health Care Technicians, Palliative and/or Acute Medically Complex, have unique opportunities to use their talents daily with palliative and/or acute medically complex clients, respectively. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the Directing (DRN) Care Technician provides direct, hands-on care to clients in their homes, collaborating with nursing and/or Home Care programs. The Care Technician communicates directly with the DRN via a virtual electronic monitoring system, enabling real-time updates.
Training will be provided to support advanced skill sets and requirements.
This position is eligible for a $3.00 per hour wage enhancement from the Ontario Government for all hours spent directly caring for clients.
This role requires attention to detail in a dynamic environment, involving physical activities such as lifting, carrying, bending, reaching, kneeling, and other movements emphasizing good body mechanics. The role involves walking, sitting, standing, and climbing stairs, with some tasks requiring fine hand movements.
