Job summary

Arnprior Regional Health in Ontario is seeking Personal Support Workers to join the Nursing (Long Term Care) team. You will provide resident-centered care aligned with a plan of care addressing physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual needs in our rural community setting.

Responsibilities include delivering consistent care in collaboration with a diverse care team, adhering to HEART values, following written and verbal instructions, and supporting Residents’ Rights at all times.

Qualifications

We are seeking dynamic, passionate Personal Support Workers (PSWs), who want to be part of the transformational change, providing resident-centered care in our long-term care home. As a PSW you will be part of a diverse, collaborative care team that will provide care and services to our residents with a focus on a plan of care and goals addressing their physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual needs.

An easy commute, our rural community hospital and long-term care home is located 30 minutes northwest of Ottawa.

Position: Personal Support Worker

Department: Nursing (Long Term Care)

Status: Full-Time

Hourly Rate: $27.63 – $30.33 per hour (Oct 9, 2025 wage)

Qualifications:

• Knowledge acquired through the successful completion of a recognized PSW program which meets the current standards of the Ontario Ministry of Health & Long-Term Care Act
• Working knowledge of Gentle Persuasive Approach (GPA) and Behavioral Support Ontario (BSO).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Current CPR
• Ability to understand, interpret and carry out the written and verbal instructions
• Ability to set priorities
