A leading home and community care organization is seeking Enhanced Personal Support Workers to provide compassionate care to palliative clients in their homes. Job Summary:
VON is seeking passionate individuals with big hearts for our new Hospice at Home community program! Enhanced PSWs (also called Health Care Technicians or HCTs) deliver complex, holistic, family-centered care to palliative clients.
You will support clients to remain at home for a dignified end-of-life journey by providing compassionate personal support and homemaking services that promote independence and well-being.
This role involves a technology-enabled virtual model of care, where bedside care is provided via a mobile application in collaboration with a Directing Registered Nurse and a compassionate healthcare team.
Training will be provided to develop advanced skills and meet role requirements.
PSWs may be scheduled to work in London, Middlesex County, and/or Elgin County.
This position is eligible for a $3.00/hour wage enhancement from the Ontario Government for all hours spent directly caring for clients.
Work conditions include attention to detail, proper lifting techniques, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, kneeling, crouching, walking, sitting, standing, climbing stairs, and hand movements.
