We are searching for a Casual Personal Support Worker (Continuing Care Assistant) to join our Parkland in the Valley- Embassy Hall team based in Quispamsis, New Brunswick.

About the Opportunity

1. Assists residents with hygiene and daily living activities, such as: bathing, dressing, oral care, skin care, meals, and mobilizing according to the work assignment;
2. Collaborates with the resident and other members of the interdisciplinary team in the development of individualized Resident Care Plan;
3. Assists in the planning and implementation of resident leisure activities on a daily basis;
4. Assists with light housekeeping duties;
5. Performs delegated nursing acts according to company policy and scope of practice;
6. Communicates and reports relevant information regarding resident care or safety to Supervisor.

About You

1. You have a valid Continuing Care Certification or Provincial Personal Care Worker course or equivalent;
2. You can work a schedule of flexible hours and shifts inclusive of days, nights, weekends, and holidays;
3. Availability to work at least six shifts, every quarter (3 month period);
4. You can provide a clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening;
5. Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care course considered an asset;
6. Previous working experience with elderly in long-term care or a senior living environment an asset;
7. Valid CPR & First Aid Certification preferred.
