Job summary

Right at Home Canada in Markham is seeking a Personal Support Worker to deliver compassionate 1:1 care for seniors at home, retirement communities, or hospitals. You will provide companionship, basic personal care, meal prep, and light housekeeping to support daily living.

Ideal candidates hold current Standard First Aid and CPR, and must complete a Criminal Background Check including Vulnerable Sector Screen. Flexible scheduling and meaningful, hands-on care are offered.

• Current certification in Standard First Aid and CPR.

Responsibilities

• Companionship: Provide social stimulation, conversation, and mental engagement.
• Active Living: Initiate and promote physical activity tailored to the client's abilities.
• Meal Preparation: Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals as needed.
• Personal Care: Prompt clients with their routine and assist directly with personal care.
• Light Housekeeping: Clean environment (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, dishes, laundry).
• Outings & Appointments: Accompany clients to medical appointments and social activities.
