We are currently hiring Full-time Days Personal Support Workers (PSW) for Community Care shifts in Sunderland, Cannington, Beaverton, and surrounding areas.

Return of Service (ROS): $10,000 to recent PSW graduates in exchange for a 12-month commitment to work full-time in a long-term care home or within the community.

Qualifications Accepted To Work As a PSW
  • Valid Certificate as a Personal Support Worker (PSW)
  • RN or RPN
  • Nursing student (2 clinical placements completed)
  • Home Support Level 2 or level 3 from a recognized curriculum
  • Valid Developmental Support Worker Certificate
  • Foreign trained healthcare professional – Nurse
Requirements
  • A valid driver’s license and vehicle to use for work daily.
  • Meet Immunization requirements – MMR, Varicella, TB, Tetanus, and Covid.
  • Current vulnerable sector check (VSC).
  • Current Standard CPR level C certificate.
  • Availability to work days and every other weekend.
  • This is a physically demanding position requiring dexterity, sensory ability, lifting up to 55 pounds, walking, climbing stairs, standing, bending, reaching, and frequent movement.
To be eligible for the PSW ROS, a Personal Support Worker must:
New Graduates
  • Successfully complete an Ontario PSW training program at a recognized institution meeting the 2022 standards, on or after April 1, 2023.
  • Begin employment with a participating employer between April 1, 2024, and March 31, 2026.
  • Commit to 12 months of full-time employment.
OR
Previous Graduates (NEW)
  • Have previously trained as a PSW.
  • Have not worked in a direct patient care role in Ontario in the past 12 months.
  • Begin employment between November 18, 2024, and March 31, 2026.
  • Commit to 12 months of full-time employment.
