Part Time Nights (10:30pm - 6:30am) - 15 hours bi-weekly (Friday & Saturday)

The PSW/HCA/CCA provides direct personal support and care to patients to fulfill their physical, intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual needs in accordance with policies, procedures, and work routines. Responsibilities include providing direct care such as ambulation, feeding, bathing, and grooming.

Access to a reliable vehicle in community home care is required.

Qualifications

• Completed a PSW Program or HCA/CCA certification that meets the appropriate standards for the position
• Experience in Long Term Care or community home care setting with exposure to dementia and palliative care is preferred
• Knowledge and experience in care planning systems and documentation
• Ability to communicate positively with staff, residents/patients, and families
• Ability to provide care in accordance with legislation, job routines, nursing care plans, and to read and write English, understanding verbal and written instructions
• Experience working independently in Community Home Care is an asset
